"A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I have lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present, and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be. " - A Single Man

I enjoy going through Amy's computer and seeing what pictures she has/ I don't have...

At midnight all the land shakes dead-
and not even the leaves dance for your presence.

The wonders of it all are up to the stars.
They'll either save you or make you question the unquestionable.

You hope for a soul in the streets to awaken you,
but their souls have gone down to rest from the stress of their days that dilute them and sinks them in- farther and deeper yonder to the core of the earth.

You hope for a glint in their eyes from the outside looking in,
but all you get is a hint of the wind splashing down on a cool Wednesday night in the heat of April.
Yet the night is so cold as you lie there day dreaming-
and you can't help but wonder where all the people have gone to.

The endless streams,
the erosions in our dreams
that form the caves in our minds,
reaching higher at times
to places we've never seen.

Ode to Enchanted Light

I think at the end of the day if you don't love what you're doing-what you're spending every waking hour with, whether it's your job or your relationships then you will slowly deteriorate into mush. We all know this. However, we continue to let the worse worsen without ever convincing ourselves otherwise. Over time one begins to realize just how much time they are wasting away with hatred- the thoughts begin to boil about on how short life really is and how human beings as a society continue to waste away in this pile of hatred. This is not a good thing. We need to love what we do. Sometimes one needs a break from their current position or perhaps a new start all together. Maybe the ones that take this short break can return from their absences to then realize what once was had. Much the same as relationships. It is inevitable to run away from this working society. No matter how hard we try. We must work work work to make money money money. "The only thing that's free is love, everything else we must pay for" so says a wise man in a most recent conversation.
One can take it for what it is or try to disappear from it all, but Easy Rider was only a movie. Into the Wild was only a movie, and not even movies last forever. Though I wish these stories did. Maybe in another life we will truly be free. Until then we can only hope for the best and try to impact the earth with every shake that our bones produce-everywhere we go. Always improving. Always moving. That's what I'm trying for at least.
